Purchases

When you buy an edition directly on our sites through Stripe or Payhip, Stripe (for direct card and local payment methods) or Payhip and its payment processors (Stripe or PayPal) process your payment and collect your payment details; when you buy through a partner bookstore (such as Google Play Books, Kobo, Apple Books or Barnes & Noble), that bookstore processes the purchase under its own terms. For direct purchases through Stripe or Payhip, we receive your name, e-mail address, country, the edition you bought and the payment status, and use them to deliver your edition, answer your questions, handle refunds and keep the accounts the law requires for as long as it requires.

ClarityOne keeps its public contact pathways deliberately simple. The website does not store prayer requests or guidance messages.

Messages and external services

The Prayer form and Reach Out open your own email application outside this website. Email providers process what you send under their own privacy terms.

The form on A Conversation with Ben works differently. What you write there is sent to Ben by e-mail through this website: the kind of conversation you chose, your name, your e-mail address and, if you fill them in, your message, the language you would like an answer in and your time zone. The form forwards your details by e-mail; it does not save them in a website database or record their contents in its logs. The resulting e-mail is kept in Ben’s mailbox. Your details are used to answer you and for nothing else. If you would like a message you sent to be deleted, say so in a reply or through the same form.

Basic website measurement

Our own shop measurement records page categories, free booklet downloads, optional newsletter prompts and signup requests, sample plays, language choices and store clicks. These aggregate events use no cookies or reader identifiers and contain no email addresses, full URLs, search queries or message contents. A valid YouTube video ID can show which video led to a visit. Private conversations are excluded, and this measurement never blocks reading, downloads or purchases.

The site currently uses Google Analytics for basic traffic measurement.

The ClarityOne Letter

ClarityOne keeps your email address, signup source and consent history in a private subscriber ledger. Website sign-ups use double opt-in: confirmation links last seven days, with one reminder after three days while waiting. You can request a fresh link if it expires. If you ask us to subscribe you directly by email, we keep that request as consent evidence and can activate your subscription without a separate confirmation click.

ClarityOne uses Google Workspace SMTP to deliver confirmation messages, the single reminder and Letters. Google may process the technical mail-delivery information needed to provide that service. ClarityOne does not use tracking pixels or individual open and click tracking, import ordinary contacts into the Letter, or use Letter data to build spiritual profiles.

Every Letter includes an unsubscribe path. You will be able to ask ClarityOne to access, correct, export or delete your subscriber record. Records will be kept only while needed to operate the Letter, honour suppression and unsubscribe choices, meet legal obligations, or resolve delivery abuse. Email addresses, confirmation tokens and subscriber histories are not placed in website analytics or public logs.

YouTube

We manage our own YouTube channels with our own internal tool, Afterglow Channel Tools. It uses YouTube API Services, so YouTube's Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and Google's Privacy Policy (https://www.google.com/policies/privacy) apply. Only the channel owner signs in to it, with a Google account; it is not offered to anyone else.

What it accesses. The tool accesses the data of our own channels and videos that YouTube returns after the owner signs in: titles, descriptions, captions, playlists, and channel and video statistics. It does not collect information about viewers or anyone else.

How it is used and shared. We use this data only to upload and manage our own videos and to see how they perform. We do not sell it or share it with anyone. The tool shows no advertising and places no cookies; it keeps its sign-in token and working files on our own computer.

How long we keep it. The sign-in token is kept only while the tool is in use. Channel and video statistics we have stored may be kept as historical records, while we re-check every 30 days that access is still authorised. Other YouTube data is kept for at most 30 days, then refreshed or deleted.

Revoking access and deletion. Access can be revoked at any time on Google's security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. You can also ask us to delete stored data at info@afterglow.company; we delete it within 7 days. When access is revoked, we delete the stored token and YouTube data within 7 days.
